What is Chainlink staking?
Chainlink staking lets LINK holders lock their tokens in Chainlink’s official staking contracts on Ethereum to help secure Chainlink oracle services. In return, stakers earn rewards in LINK. Community stakers use the official app at staking.chain.link. This Chainlink staking rewards calculator shows what those rewards could add up to over days, months or years. For the full walkthrough, read our Chainlink staking guide.
How to use this LINK staking calculator
- Enter your LINK. Type how many LINK tokens you plan to stake.
- Enter the LINK price. Type today’s LINK price in US dollars from any price chart.
- Check the reward rate. The yearly rate is filled in with the community pool rate we last checked (currently 4.32%, checked on October 24, 2026). Change it if the live rate is different.
- Pick a period. Choose how long you stake, in days, months or years.
- Choose restaking and an end price. Turn on “Restake rewards” to add rewards back every month. Add an expected LINK price at the end if you want to see a future dollar value.
- Read and share. Results update as you type. “Copy results” copies a summary with a link that reopens the calculator with your numbers.
How the numbers are calculated
- Without restaking: rewards = LINK staked × yearly rate × days ÷ 365.
- With restaking: each month earns 1/12 of the yearly rate on your balance, and the rewards are added to it. A part month at the end earns its share on the latest balance.
- Periods: a year is 365 days and a month is 1/12 of a year (about 30.4 days).
- Dollar values = LINK × your end price, or today’s price if you leave the end price empty.
- Per day, month and year = your total rewards spread evenly over the period.
For example, 1,000 LINK at 4.32% a year earns 43.2 LINK in one year without restaking. With monthly restaking it earns about 44.07 LINK. At $15 per LINK, that is $648 or about $661.
Chainlink staking rules to know
- The rate is variable. A fixed amount of rewards is shared by everyone in the pool, so the rate changes with how full the pool is. Rewards here are estimates.
- Unstaking takes time. You start an unstake, wait a 28-day cooldown, then have a 7-day claim window to withdraw. Miss it and your LINK goes back into the pool.
- Limits. Community stakers can stake 1 to 15,000 LINK per address. The community pool holds up to 40,875,000 LINK, and new LINK can enter only when there is space.
- Rewards ramp up. Part of your rewards stay locked for the first 90 days. Unstaking early gives up locked rewards, and adding more LINK on the same address restarts the ramp-up.
Chainlink staking calculator FAQ
What is a Chainlink staking calculator?
It estimates how much LINK you could earn by staking. Enter how much LINK you stake, the LINK price, the yearly reward rate and how long you stake. It shows your total rewards in LINK and dollars, your final balance and your average rewards per day, month and year.
What is the current Chainlink staking reward rate?
When we last checked staking.chain.link on October 24, 2026, the Chainlink v0.2 community pool showed a variable reward rate of 4.32% a year, paid in LINK. The rate is variable: it depends on how full the pool is and how many rewards Chainlink makes available, so check the official app before you stake.
Does Chainlink staking compound?
Not automatically. Rewards build up as claimable and locked LINK; they are not added to your stake for you. To compound, you claim rewards and stake them again, which costs gas, needs free space in the pool and resets the 90-day reward ramp-up on that address. Turn on "Restake rewards" to see the best case with monthly restaking.
How long does it take to unstake LINK?
Unstaking is not instant. After you start an unstake, a 28-day cooldown runs, then a 7-day claim window opens in which you can withdraw. If you do not withdraw in that window, your LINK goes back into the staking pool. Your LINK keeps earning rewards during the cooldown and the claim window.
How much LINK can I stake?
In Chainlink Staking v0.2, community stakers can stake from 1 to 15,000 LINK per address, and the whole community pool is capped at 40,875,000 LINK. When the pool is full, new LINK can enter only when someone else unstakes.
Are the results guaranteed?
No. The results are estimates based on the numbers you enter. The real reward rate can change at any time, and the dollar value of your LINK depends on the LINK price, which can fall as well as rise. This is not financial advice.
