What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between page views, such as the fact that you are logged in. “Similar technologies” means other ways of storing information in your browser, such as local storage and session storage.

Cookies in a nutshell

If you are simply reading NutshellCrypto, we do not set cookies in your browser. When we checked the site on September 28, 2026, the home page and articles did not set any cookies and did not load analytics or advertising scripts.

Cookies are only set when someone logs in to the WordPress dashboard (in practice, our own team), when comments are enabled and a commenter chooses to save their details, or in some cases by our security tools. All of these are needed for the feature being used; none of them are used for tracking or advertising.

These are standard WordPress cookies. The names shown with “[hash]” or “[user ID]” end in a random string or a number.

Security tools

We use Imunify Security and Loginizer to protect the site and the login page from malware and brute-force attacks. These tools may set strictly necessary cookies or use your browser’s storage, mainly on the login page. For example, on the login page Imunify Security uses browser storage entries whose names start with imunify_sw_ to detect and remove malicious background scripts. If our host’s firewall suspects automated traffic, it may also show a short challenge page that sets a temporary cookie once you pass it.

Third-party services

  • Google Fonts: our Manrope font is loaded from Google’s servers. This does not set cookies, but Google receives your IP address and browser details when the font downloads.
  • Gravatar: author profile pictures are loaded from secure.gravatar.com (Automattic), which receives your IP address when the images load.
  • WordPress emoji: if your browser cannot display emoji itself, emoji images may be loaded from WordPress.org (s.w.org).
  • Embedded content: if an article embeds content from another site (for example a video or a social media post), that site may set its own cookies when the embed loads. Their cookie policies apply.
  • Links: other websites we link to have their own cookie policies.

Analytics and advertising

As of September 28, 2026, NutshellCrypto does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. If we add any of these in the future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before setting them.

How to manage cookies

You can see, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies does not stop you from reading NutshellCrypto, but you won’t be able to log in to the dashboard. Help pages for the most common browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari (Mac) and Safari (iPhone and iPad)
  • Microsoft Edge

Most browsers also let you clear local storage and session storage in the same place as cookies (often called “site data”).

Changes to this policy

We will update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
